Yes, the SkinPen tool is designed to be safe for all skin tones and nearly all skin types. 

However, microneedling can be unsafe for the following clients:

• Active skin cancer
• Open cuts and wounds in treatment areas
• Pregnant or nursing 
• Hemorrhagic bleeding disorder or hemostatic dysfunction
• Taking drugs with active ingredient (accutane)
